On 16 May 2019, MTC together with Adopt-a-School Foundation launched a Grade R practitioners development programme for three schools in Burgersdorp in the Eastern Cape. This is a five-month intensive development programme that started on 16 June 2019 and will end on 04 October 2019.
Eight practitioners from four schools in the Burgersdorp community will attend nine workshops altogether, and will also receive one-on-one coaching and mentoring sessions. The programme sets out to make a meaningful impact in the classrooms as well as the community.
There are about 326 Grade R learners who are the beneficiaries of this programme. Practitioners will be awarded certificates from all the workshops attended. At the end of the programme, practitioners will receive their certificates at a prestigious award ceremony.
