This workshop will enable you to:

• Be able to teach learners the foundational skills of reading – phonemes and phonics
• Develop initial reading skills
• Teach your learners basic comprehension skills so that their reading is meaningful
• Assess pre-reading and reading skills in an objective way
• Create excitement about reading for enjoyment in your classroom, at school and in homes

Target Audience

Grades 1 - 3 teachers, DHs and SESs

Duration: Half day
